Omaha - A popular Poker variant that stems from Texas Hold’em.
Paytable - A summary table which can be found in the game’s menu that shows the value of cards or symbols, the minimum number of symbols required for a win as well as various functions.
Quads - Four of a kind in Poker. For example: AAAA or KKKK. A Quad can only be beaten by a higher-value Quad, a Straight Flush or a Royal Flush.
Random number generator - The random number generator (RNG) generates the symbol combinations that are newly created for every slot spin, which is essential for this type of game.
RTP - This casino term describes the payout ratio for games: the percentage of the initial bet that can on average be won back over a longer period of time.
Session - The duration of a period of play without a break. The length of a session can be limited in online casinos.
Side Bets - In casino terminology, this means a bet that can be placed in addition to the main game. It is particularly common in Blackjack games.
Texas Hold’em - The most common Poker variant which is mainly down to the fact that this game is played at professional Poker tournaments like the “World Series of Poker”.
Under the Gun - That’s what the person is called who is seated directly next to the Big Blind in Poker.
Volatility - An important casino term that describes the variance of the win frequency and the win amount. Games with lower volatility generate winnings relatively often, but they are on average rather low. Games with high volatility produce higher winnings on average, but less often. This term is commonly used for slot games.
Whale - This is what wealthy players who are willing to bet high are called.
